Salobreña and Conil de la Frontera highlight cultural and natural heritage
Various coastal destinations in Spain are highlighting their cultural and natural heritage. In Salobreña, visitors can explore the 10th-century Arab Castle, a former Nasrid palace, and wander through the historic Albaycín and Brocal neighborhoods, known for their narrow streets and floral decorations.
Conil de la Frontera is hosting a Nature Conservation Week from October 13 to October 19. Organized by the local government and the Aviturismo Association, the program includes bird watching, chameleon observation, and environmental education workshops. A photographic exhibition of birds of prey by Bartolomé Puente is also scheduled at the Torre de Guzmán.
Conil's historic center features landmarks such as the Puerta de la Villa, the Torre de Guzmán, and the Santa Catalina Church. The town is noted for its white-washed architecture and Atlantic views.
