Luxury and lifestyle updates: Alfa Romeo, Airbus, and high-end brands

A series of luxury and lifestyle developments highlights advancements in bespoke manufacturing, aviation, and high-end consumer goods.

Alfa Romeo has unveiled the 33 Stradale Perla Nera, a one-off commission from its Bottegafuoriserie division. The vehicle features a hand-laid carbon fiber body with no paint, reducing weight by approximately 22 pounds. The interior is customized to the owner's physique with Alcantara and exposed carbon.

In aviation, the Airbus A350 is facilitating the rise of ultra-long-haul travel. Technologies within the aircraft are making non-stop flights of 18 to 22 hours, such as those planned for Qantas Project Sunrise, increasingly viable by improving passenger comfort and range.

In the luxury goods sector, A. Lange & Söhne has released three new timepieces, including the 1815 UP/DOWN series and a platinum TRIPLE SPLIT chronograph. Meanwhile, Salomon is reissuing the Snowclog OG, a weatherproof suede après-ski clog originally designed in 2002.

In media, the travel series ‘Italy is a Mitch!’ offers an unscripted, cinematic look at Italian landscapes through the perspective of an Australian host.
