Salomon launches waterproof XT-6 Gore-Tex ‘Stormy Weather’ shoes

Salomon has launched the XT-6 Gore-Tex ‘Stormy Weather’ edition, a waterproof footwear option designed for both trail running and urban environments. The shoes feature a GORE-TEX membrane that prevents water entry while allowing vapor to escape, making them suitable for rainy and windy conditions.

The ‘Tradewinds/Stormy Weather/Bog’ colorway utilizes a palette of grayish-blue, mossy green, and muted yellow/beige accents, complemented by black and mint green details. The design incorporates technical features such as Quicklace systems for rapid adjustment, SensiFit architecture, and Mud Contagrip soles for traction on wet surfaces. Notably, the GORE-TEX ePE membrane used in this model is manufactured without persistent PFAS chemicals, marking a step toward more sustainable outdoor material production.

Originally released in 2013 for ultra-distance runners, the XT-6 model has transitioned from a technical performance shoe into a prominent urban fashion icon, particularly within the ‘gorpcore’ trend in cities like Paris and Mexico City.
