Salou hosts Festa al Cel aviation festival and airshows

The second edition of the Festa al Cel festival in Salou has drawn thousands of spectators to the Mediterranean coast for a series of aviation-themed events. The festival includes air displays, aeronautical exhibitions, and cultural performances.

As a prelude to the main festivities, the Army General Inspection Music Unit performed a concert titled ‘Música al Cel’ against a seaside backdrop. The repertoire included military music, cinematic soundtracks such as ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Top Gun’, and contemporary hits from artists like Coldplay and Abba. The performance also paid tribute to the Air and Space Force and the Army's Air Mobile Forces.

Saturday's activities featured various aerial demonstrations, including acrobatic flights and displays by military and civilian aircraft such as the Eurofighter Typhoon, A400M, and Boeing Chinook. Visitors participated in pilot autograph sessions and explored aeronautical simulators and exhibitions at the festival village. The PortAventura Sunset Airshow provided a visual spectacle using LED lighting, lasers, drones, and pyrotechnics. Reus Airport served as a key logistical base for the participating aircraft.
