Salou hosts RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada to conclude S-CER season

The 61st edition of the RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada is underway in Salou, serving as the final round of the 2026 Super Campeonato de España de Rallies (S-CER). The event features 41 teams competing across 121.88 timed kilometers and ten stages, with PortAventura World acting as a central hub.

While José Antonio Cohete Suárez and Alberto Iglesias have already secured the overall championship in their Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, the competition remains intense for the runner-up and third-place positions. Key contenders include Iván Ares and Borja Rozada in a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2, alongside Pepe López and David Vázquez in a Hyundai i20N Rally2.

In the qualifying sessions and shakedown held at Coll de la Teixeta, Iván Ares and Borja Rozada set the fastest times. They were followed closely by Sergi Pérez and Axel Coronado, who finished 0.7 seconds behind, and the championship winners, Cohete Suárez and Alberto Iglesias, who trailed by 0.9 seconds. The rally also impacts several other championships, including the Hyundai i20N Rallye Cup and the Volant RACC Trofeu WERACE.
