Salt Lake Temple celebration expands volunteer opportunities

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has expanded volunteer scheduling options for the upcoming Salt Lake Temple celebration. The event, scheduled from April 5 to October 1, 2027, will allow guests to view the renovated temple and Temple Square. Organizers are seeking nearly 30,000 volunteers to assist with guest services, including welcoming visitors, answering questions, and performing behind-the-scenes roles. Applications for volunteers aged 16 and older remain open until September 14.

In other temple news, the Phnom Penh Cambodia Temple held an open house for journalists in August 2026, with a public open house following shortly after. Additionally, milestone dates have been set for temples in Fort Worth, Texas, and Barcelona, Spain, while groundbreaking has occurred for the Naga Philippines Temple.
