Salt Lake Temple open house reservations reach one million in one day

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints reported that the first wave of one million free reservations for the Salt Lake Temple open house tour was claimed in less than 24 hours. To accommodate the high global demand, additional ticket releases are scheduled for September 15 and October 1, 2026.

Other recent developments include the opening of new temples in Idaho and Nicaragua, and efforts to mark 125 years of the gospel in Japan. Additionally, the Church has launched a new initiative with UNICEF aimed at improving the survival rates of mothers and babies.
