Salt Lake Temple open house reservations to begin September 2026

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced that reservations for open house tours of the renovated Salt Lake Temple will become available starting September 1, 2026. The tours are part of a six-month celebration marking the temple's reopening, scheduled to run from April 5 through October 1, 2027.

Individual guests may reserve up to six tickets via TempleSquare.org or the Temple Square app. For larger groups, such as family reunions or community organizations, formal reservation requests can be submitted. While walk-up reservations will be limited and handled on a first-come, first-served basis, reservations are highly recommended for the tours.

During the celebration period, visitors can also participate in various exhibits, performances, and activities throughout Temple Square. Unlike the temple tours, reservations are not required to attend the broader Salt Lake Temple Celebration activities. The venue plans to provide accessibility accommodations, including language support and assistive listening options.
