Salt Spring Island olive farm remains unsold after auction
The 74-acre Salt Spring Island property known as The Olive Farm remains on the market following an unsuccessful auction on August 12. The property, developed by Sheri Braun and her late husband George, was intended to be sold in two separate parcels through an online escalating tender managed by the law firm CLHbid.com.
According to Tyler Ruttan of CLH, the sale did not conclude as expected because some bidders were not prepared in time for the process. Interest in the property continues, and the firm is currently working with clients regarding potential interest.
The farm is divided into two parcels, each with a starting bid of $2.19 million. Parcel 1 comprises approximately 36 acres and features a 750-tree olive grove, irrigation infrastructure, a greenhouse, and a shop equipped with milling machinery. Parcel 2 includes roughly 38 acres and a two-bedroom Tuscan villa-style home overlooking the Fulford Valley.
