Salta and Jujuy sign health cooperation pact for new Oscar Orías Hospital

Governors Gustavo Sáenz of Salta and Carlos Sadir of Jujuy signed a bilateral health‑cooperation agreement to support the opening of the new Dr. Oscar Orías Hospital in Libertador General San Martín, Jujuy. The pact will integrate the two provinces’ health systems and introduce Salta’s digital medical record platform at the facility, aiming to create a modern, high‑level referral centre for patients from both provinces, especially those from northern Salta.

The agreement is intended to streamline patient referrals across the provincial border, share technical tools, and improve overall service quality. Both officials emphasized that the hospital will become a key medical hub for the region, enhancing access to complex care for communities that previously relied on inter‑provincial transfers.
