Salta hospitals receive national quality recognition in Argentina
Twelve hospitals in the Salta province have been recognized by Argentina’s National Ministry of Health as “Hospitales Comprometidos con la Calidad” (Hospitals Committed to Quality). This distinction follows a federal evaluation of standards and indicators.
With this latest group, Salta now has 17 public hospitals holding current national recognition. The newly distinguished facilities include hospitals in Tartagal, Santa Victoria Este, and Embarcación, among others. The recognition covers various levels of medical complexity across the capital and provincial interior.
According to Natalia Moreno, the General Director of Quality Management, this achievement is part of the Provincial Health Quality Plan, which aims to strengthen patient safety and service quality. Currently, 35% of the province's hospitals hold this distinction, including 100% of level IV complexity facilities and 80% of level III facilities.
