Salta launches 2026 Provincial Literary Contest and Editorial Fund

The Ministry of Education and Culture of Salta has officially launched the 2026 Provincial Literary Contest and the 2026 Provincial Editorial Fund. Announced by Undersecretary of Culture Miguel Dellacamina, these initiatives aim to foster the development of writers within the province and the surrounding region.

The Literary Contest is open to new writers submitting unpublished works in categories including novel, short story, poetry, essay, theater, comics, children's literature, and adapted scripts. The application period runs from September 28 until October 28.

The Editorial Fund provides support through various methods, such as full financing for selected projects, co-edition schemes with publishers, municipalities, or universities, and institutional endorsement for works of cultural or scientific relevance. The fund also manages ISBN registration and assists in the promotion of publications at various fairs and events.
