Salta launches first 'Feria de la Carne' with up to 50% discounts on meat, poultry and fish

The municipality of Salta opened the inaugural "Feria de la Carne" on Friday in Plaza España, operating from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fair aims to keep high‑quality beef, chicken and fish affordable for families, offering discounts of up to 50 percent on a wide range of cuts and products. Mayor Emiliano Durand and cabinet chief Juan Chalabe said the initiative responds to rising food costs and results from dialogue with residents, producers and local businesses. Governor Gustavo Sáenz promoted the event in a video alongside the mayor, urging Salteños to attend. Prices listed include special rib at $13.50/kg, whole chicken at $2.90/kg and merluza at $6.70/kg, among many other discounted items.
