Salta Psychopedagogy College files complaint over property purchase
The Professional College of Psychopedagogy of Salta has filed a criminal complaint against its former president, Viviana Bazán, regarding the purchase of a property in Cerrillos. The current administration, led by Viviana Vacherand Solá, alleges irregularities in a 2017 transaction involving a 4,000-square-meter lot.
The dispute centers on two consecutive deeds recorded on the same day. According to the complaint, the property was first sold for $20,000 and then immediately transferred to the College for $1,650,000—a price increase of over 82 times. The current leadership initiated the investigation after reviewing institutional documentation in late 2023.
Viviana Bazán has denied any wrongdoing, asserting that the purchase was legitimate and that the funds used belonged to the College. She explained that the price discrepancy stems from a prior transaction between private individuals that occurred before the College became involved. Bazán maintained that the institution acquired the property through a real estate listing and that the operation was conducted to invest savings during a period of institutional reorganization.
