Salta real estate market sees decline in first half of the year

The real estate market in Salta, Argentina, experienced a slower-than-expected first half of the year. According to data collected by REMAX, property transactions saw a 15% year-on-year decrease, while the average ticket price dropped by 8%.

Despite this decline, local expectations suggest a more favorable dynamic for the second half of the year, with hopes that annual levels will align with 2025 projections. Currently, houses remain the most sought-after products, alongside movement in lower-priced apartments. Conversely, demand for land has been more contained due to high construction costs.

As part of its business meetings, REMAX gathered 130 industry leaders in Salta to discuss market challenges and professionalization. Sebastián Sosa, president and co-founder of REMAX Argentina and Uruguay, emphasized the importance of combining local market realities with collaborative federal networking to support long-term sector development.
