Salta reopens transit home for families of medical patients

The city of Salta is reopening its “Hogar de Paso” (Transit Home) starting Monday, October 12. The facility is designed to provide temporary accommodation for families and individuals in vulnerable social situations, specifically those traveling from the interior of the province to the capital for prolonged medical treatments or hospitalizations.

In addition to assisting families of hospitalized patients, the center will serve as a safe point in the central zone in preparation for potential weather emergencies related to the “Super Niño” phenomenon. The facility, located at 231 20 de Febrero Street, will operate 24 hours a day. Access will be managed through a protocol involving coordination and prior evaluation by municipal social workers and agents.
