In Chile, the Consejo para la Transparencia reported that 325 municipalities conducted 8,731 direct-contract purchases totaling over $210 billion in 2024, with 66% of funds allocated to waste management and green area maintenance. In Paihuano, officials confirmed that work on the El Arrayán bridge is scheduled to begin on September 21, following discussions with the Ministry of Public Works.
