Saltaire to perform at Ziro Music Festival in India

Dublin-based contemporary Irish folk trio Saltaire is scheduled to perform at the Ziro Music Festival in Arunachal Pradesh, India. This performance marks the first time an Irish band has appeared at the festival.

The trio, consisting of Kaitlin Cullen-Verhauz, Ian Kinsella, and Eoghan Pádraig Ó Ceannabháin, blends Irish and American folk traditions with original songwriting and contemporary arrangements. As part of their visit, the group conducted a workshop to introduce audiences to traditional Irish instruments, rhythms, and melodies.

Supported by Culture Ireland and the Embassy of Ireland, the band’s participation is part of the celebrations for Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The event highlights increasing cultural and musical exchanges between Ireland and India.
