Saltillo and Monclova municipalities enforce electoral safeguard measures

The municipal government of Saltillo, Mexico, introduced an electoral‑shielding program ahead of the upcoming vote. Public warehouses, offices and official vehicles were placed under protection, and a committee comprising Giovanni de la Peña Merlos, Rebeca Boone Villarreal, Ricardo Valdez Cabello and Francisco Saracho Navarro was created to monitor compliance with electoral regulations and promote transparency.

Similarly, the city council of Monclova enacted a set of safeguard actions from 5 to 8 June. Official municipal vehicles were taken out of service (except those required for essential public safety functions), and the use of municipal facilities, equipment, staff or other resources for political campaigning was expressly prohibited. Each department was tasked with supervising the measures to ensure legal, impartial and equitable conduct of the election.
