Saltillo authorities suspend bars during municipal inspection

Authorities in Saltillo, Mexico, suspended several nightlife establishments during a coordinated municipal inspection operation. The crackdown involved the Municipal Police, Civil Protection, Urban Development, and Alcohol Control departments.

The bar Gin & Joe, located in the Distrito V plaza, was temporarily closed after inspectors identified irregularities regarding capacity limits and a lack of necessary operating permits.

Additionally, the bar Sayulita was suspended by the Alcohol Control department following an incident involving an assault with a bottle inside the premises. A third establishment, Brujas, received a notification to address requirements from the Urban Development department.

Municipal Commissioner of Security and Citizen Protection, Miguel Ángel Garza Félix, stated that these inspections are part of a permanent program intended to verify safety conditions and reduce risks for customers in entertainment centers.
