Saltillo Diocese ordains three new priests at Santiago Cathedral

The Diocese of Saltillo has welcomed three new priests following an ordination ceremony held this Saturday at the Santiago Cathedral. Jesús Osvaldo Valdés, Juan Antonio Martínez, and Maximiliano Constante received the sacrament of holy orders during the Eucharistic celebration.

Bishop Hilario González García presided over the ceremony, which included the laying on of hands by the bishop, emeritus bishop Raúl Vera, and other present priests. During the rite, the new presbyters took vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, committing to preach the Gospel, administer sacraments, and serve the Church.

The three men will begin their pastoral ministry this weekend in various parish communities throughout the city. In his address, Bishop González García encouraged the new priests to maintain humility and strength in their vocation, noting that the diocese faces numerous challenges and needs spiritual guidance.
