Saltillo expands cultural programming with music and arts
Saltillo continues to expand its cultural offerings through various municipal programs. A recent musical event, featuring the group Voces Amigas, took place at the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila rectorate esplanade. In observance of the patriotic month of September, the group performed traditional Mexican folklore songs, including ‘La Feria de las Flores’ and ‘Mi nombre es México’.
These musical sessions, such as ‘Jueves de Serenata’ and ‘Viernes de Danzón’, are part of a broader initiative promoted by Mayor Javier Díaz González through the Instituto Municipal de Cultura.
Additionally, the city recently hosted the ‘Ameyali’ visual arts workshop for children at the Lomas del Refugio Cultural Center. Led by instructor Mariana Montañez, the workshop focused on pastel techniques to help local youth develop artistic talents.
