Saltillo hosts Copa Distrito 13 Fútbol 7 tournament

The Copa Distrito 13 Fútbol 7 tournament was held in Saltillo to promote sports and community coexistence. Organized by local deputy-elect Luz Elena Morales Núñez, the event took place at the ‘El Volcán’ courts in the Espinoza Mireles neighborhood.

The tournament featured approximately 300 participants divided into 20 teams, competing in a direct elimination format across both open and mixed categories. The event was free to enter.

Morales acknowledged the support of Antonio Cepeda Licón, director general of INEDEC, and Edgar Puentes Montes, director of the Municipal Institute of Physical Culture and Sport. She also credited Saltillo Mayor Javier Díaz González for improving the sports infrastructure that allowed the tournament to be hosted in recently inaugurated facilities.
