Saltillo implements 166th session of free community health program

The municipal government of Saltillo and DIF Saltillo have reached their 166th session of the ‘Amor en Movimiento’ program, which provides free healthcare services to neighborhoods, barrios, and ejidos.

Mayor Javier Díaz González stated that the initiative aims to bring medical attention directly to families in need. Recent mobile health unit deployments in the Mirasierra and Amistad communities provided various services, including optometry, lens distribution, audiometry, hearing aids, dental care, glucose screening, and general medical consultations.

In addition to medical services, the program offered free haircuts and a ‘Mercadito’ where citizens could exchange recyclable products for cleaning supplies. Luly López Naranjo, honorary president of DIF Saltillo, emphasized that the program's mission is to move services out of offices and directly into the community.
