Saltillo launches BiciApp to improve cycling mobility

The Saltillo Municipal Government, through the Municipal Planning Institute (Implan), has launched BiciApp Saltillo, a mobile application designed to support the local cycling community and improve urban mobility.

The platform allows users to register trips, identify origin and destination routes, report incidents, and share cycling habits. The data collected will be used by authorities to identify infrastructure needs, plan maintenance, and expand the city's cycling network.

Developed by the Center for Research in Applied Mathematics (CIMA) at the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila, the project was funded through a call for proposals from the Fund for the Promotion of Science and Technology (FONCYT). The app is currently available on iOS, Android, and web browsers.
