Saltillo Mayor Javier Díaz inaugurates school roof project

Saltillo Mayor Javier Díaz González has inaugurated a new roof structure at Leona Vicario Elementary School. The project was selected through the ‘Participa Saltillo 2026’ program, where local citizens proposed and voted on community improvements.

This installation is one of ten school roof projects initiated by the current municipal administration, with eight already completed. The Mayor stated that with support from Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas, similar benefits will be extended to additional educational institutions to protect students from sun and rain during school, sports, and cultural activities.

The project was originally proposed by citizen Margarita Sánchez. Additionally, the DIF Saltillo program ‘Amor en Movimiento,’ led by Luly López Naranjo, has provided medical services to the school community during the construction phase.
