Saltillo real estate market faces rising costs and shifting buyer expectations
The real estate market in Saltillo and Ramos Arizpe is undergoing a significant shift due to rising costs of land, construction materials, and urban infrastructure. Héctor Aguirre Sánchez, director of the Real Estate Exchange for the Asociación Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios (AMPI) in Saltillo, notes a growing gap between consumer expectations and current economic realities.
Many buyers, particularly younger generations, are finding that budgets based on historical pricing are no longer sufficient for the properties they desire. While modern developments offer improved connectivity and services, the increased costs of urbanization and materials have altered the available housing stock. To address these challenges, new financing products are emerging, such as schemes that allow individuals to combine credits even if they are not married.
