Ciudad Valles expands MetroRed free transit network

Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona has announced the launch of MetroRed Line 3 in Ciudad Valles, San Luis Potosí. This new route will connect 22 additional neighborhoods, positioning the municipality as a pilot for modern mobility in the state.

The expansion aims to integrate a total of six lines by next year, with the goal of having Ciudad Valles fully connected through this free, secure transport scheme by the end of 2027. The governor emphasized the economic impact of the system, noting that it has already moved approximately 35 million people across various zones, providing significant savings to local families.

To ensure the long-term sustainability of the free service, the administration plans to implement legal protections to prevent the system from being privatized or subjected to fees by future administrations.
