Saltillo residents warned of dice game scam

Citizens in Saltillo are being warned about a dice-based scam operating in various locations across the city, including Mirasierra, Arteaga, Soriana Coss, Walmart Reforma, and Plaza de las Ciudades Hermanas.

The scheme involves a group of approximately 15 people who arrive in a van to set up a tent and table displaying high-value prizes such as televisions, cell phones, drones, speakers, and motorcycles. To attract participants, organizers offer the first four rolls of the dice for free. The stated goal is to accumulate 100 points; however, the dice include both positive and negative numbers, making it nearly impossible to reach the target.

Once the free turns are exhausted, participants are pressured to pay for additional turns, starting at approximately 100 pesos. Witnesses and employees have reported that the game is designed so that players continuously lose points, ensuring that the promised prizes are never actually awarded.
