Mexican municipalities roll out security and violence‑prevention programs

The Saltillo municipal government expanded its gender‑based violence prevention effort, establishing Safe Sites, a 24‑hour hotline (800 Violeta) and conducting community‑based filters that inform women and families about physical, psychological, sexual, economic and patrimonial abuse and available support services.

The city's Security and Protection Department also carried out anti‑bullying outreach in primary and secondary schools, delivering talks on identifying harassment, respect among peers and tools for creating safer learning environments.
