Saltillo shooting kills photographer Ana Laura de León and daughter Jaqueline Mora
On Tuesday, a gun attack at a boutique in the Antonio Cárdenas neighbourhood of Saltillo, Mexico, killed photographer Ana Laura de León Morin, her husband Emmanuel Montero, and their daughter Jaqueline Mora de León.
Funeral services were held at the Capillas San Ángel República, where dozens of relatives, friends and members of the Mexican Society of Professional Photographers (SMFP) gathered to mourn. Community members expressed grief, with Juan Carlos saying, “It is a great pain… Ana Laura was a hardworking woman…,” and Andrés adding, “They left a beautiful mark among their friends and family.”
The SMFP announced a voluntary collection to help the family cover funeral expenses and the medical care of surviving daughter Litzy Mora de León, who remains hospitalized. Donations are being directed to Erik Mora de León, the son of Ana Laura, who is managing the family’s affairs.
