Saltillo to Host Mexico's National Geriatrics Congress in 2027

Saltillo, Coahuila, has been selected to host the National Geriatrics Congress for the first time in 2027, following its successful regional meeting later this year. Organizers expect 400 to 500 health professionals to attend, generating an estimated economic impact of between 3.5 and 5 million Mexican pesos for the city. The city’s Convention and Visitors Office highlighted its enhanced infrastructure, specialized service providers, and strong security record as key factors in securing the event. The hosting bid was confirmed by Raúl Rodarte Leos, executive director of the OCV, who noted a delegation will travel to Veracruz in August to receive the official torch for the 2027 congress.
