Salto Grande Region and Poland establish strategic cooperation agenda
The Salto Grande Region is advancing a strategic cooperation agenda with the Republic of Poland to foster regional development through academic, cultural, tourism, and productive projects. This initiative aims to create new job opportunities and support entrepreneurs by strengthening ties between Argentina, Uruguay, and Poland.
Key pillars of the agenda include the development of tourism circuits centered on the historical traces of Polish immigration in the Salto Grande Region, aiming to transform cultural heritage into economic opportunities. Academic cooperation is a central component, involving institutions such as the National University of Entre Ríos (UNER) and the National Technological University (UTN). The Polska Concordia Civil Association maintains a cooperation agreement with UTN to facilitate exchange, innovation, and project development.
The collaborative effort involves various stakeholders, including governments, universities, civil society organizations, and diplomatic representatives, such as Konrad Łukasz Ojeda from the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Buenos Aires.
