Salto hosts 17th Diversity March and health service review
During the 17th Diversity March in Salto, Uruguay, the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) presented findings regarding health services and sexual diversity. The event, held under the slogan ‘Existimos y resistimos’ (We exist and we resist), brought together various collectives and citizens to advocate for inclusion, rights, and visibility.
As part of the activities, the MSP’s National Program for Gender and Sexual Diversity shared results from a survey conducted throughout 2025. This survey assessed the availability of services such as hormonal treatments, information materials, and procedures related to legal name and gender changes. Additionally, the Ministry provided health promotion through a ‘Feria Diversa,’ which included significant interest in STI testing stations provided to attendees.
