Salto hosts 19th Fine Wine Salon to fund student scholarships

The 19th edition of the Salón del Vino Fino de Salto was held at La Calandria Polo Club, organized by the Rotary Club Salto Noreste. The event brings together wineries, businesses, and visitors from Salto, other departments, and Argentina to promote viticulture.

Proceeds from the event support the Rotary Club Salto Noreste scholarship program, which has provided aid to more than 450 young people from rural areas who move to Salto to pursue their studies. During the opening, Mayor Carlos Albisu praised the initiative for its dual impact: promoting Salto’s identity as a center for viticulture, specifically as the ‘cradle of Tannat,’ and providing essential economic and human support to students.
