Salto municipality renews fleet with 15 new Toyota vehicles

The Intendencia de Salto has added 15 new Toyota vehicles to its fleet as part of a scheduled renewal plan. The acquisition involves no additional expenditure for the departmental administration, as the new 2026 models are being provided in exchange for 15 used vehicles of the same brand and model.

The transaction follows a tender awarded on May 23, 2024, to Ayax S.A., the representative for Toyota. The new fleet includes 13 Toyota Hilux trucks and two hybrid Toyota Corolla Cross models. The Hilux units come with a warranty of 120,000 kilometers or four years, while the Corolla Cross hybrids include a five-year or 140,000-kilometer warranty.

This renewal mechanism aims to maintain updated and functional vehicles for various departmental areas, including services, inspections, and public works. By rotating the fleet, the administration seeks to reduce costs related to maintenance, spare parts, and repairs, while improving fuel efficiency.
