Salvador B6 BRT line to begin full-time operations
The B6 BRT line in Salvador, connecting Lapa Station to the Patamares coastline, will begin full-time operations on Monday, the 28th. The service will run from 5:00 to 23:00, expanding from its previous assisted schedule of 9:00 to 16:00.
During its testing phase, the line carried approximately 2,500 passengers daily. Municipal Secretary of Mobility Pablo Souza stated that the expansion follows successful testing and user acceptance, noting that the line reduces the need for transfers between conventional buses and the BRT system. The route serves several coastal neighborhoods, including Costa Azul, Boca do Rio, Pituaçu, and Patamares.
Due to the Maratona Salvador taking place this weekend, service schedules will be temporarily modified. On Saturday, the line will start at 10:00 from Lapa Station, and there will be no service on Sunday.
