Salvador begins R$ 13.6 million road project to reduce traffic

The city of Salvador has authorized the construction of a new road connection between Piatã and Bairro da Paz. The project, representing an investment of R$ 13.6 million, aims to reduce traffic congestion and travel times by creating a new corridor between Rua da Gratidão and Avenida Orlando Gomes.

The works are expected to last eight months and include the construction of two bridges over the Rio Jaguaribe, totaling 61 meters in length. The infrastructure plan also features asphalt paving, LED lighting, drainage systems, and landscaping. To facilitate traffic flow, a binário system will be implemented, making Rua da Gratidão a one-way street.
