Salvador Dalí Cybernetics exhibition opens in Istanbul

The international exhibition ‘Dalí Cybernetics: A Journey into the Mind of a Genius’ has opened at the Digital Experience Center in Istanbul. Managed by Kültür AŞ, an affiliate of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, the exhibition marks the first stop for the tour in Turkey.

Originally debuting in Barcelona in 2022, the exhibition has reached hundreds of thousands of visitors across 14 cities, including London, Berlin, Copenhagen, Lisbon, and Athens. Developed with the support of the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation and produced by Barcelona-based Layers of Reality, the showcase utilizes large-scale projections, interactive installations, and augmented and virtual reality to reinterpret Dalí’s iconic works.

The exhibition explores the intersection of Dalí’s art with his interests in science and mathematics, ranging from quantum physics to DNA studies. According to Jordi Sellas i Ferrés, Managing Partner of Layers of Reality, the experience aims to answer what Dalí might have created if he had access to modern technological tools, allowing visitors to move through and explore his world via metaverse experiences.
