Salvador Dalí fashion exhibition to open at Palazzo Reale
The exhibition ‘Dalí e la Moda’ (Dalí and Fashion) is opening at Palazzo Reale in Milan to coincide with Milano Fashion Week 2026. Running from September 24, 2026, to January 31, 2027, the showcase features over 200 works and archival materials exploring the organic relationship between Salvador Dalí and the fashion world.
The exhibition examines how Dalí viewed fashion as a tool for identity construction, communication, and bodily transformation. The project is a collaboration with the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí and is supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture and the Spanish Embassy in Italy.
Accompanying the exhibition are personal accounts of Dalí’s life, including memories from American artist Howard R. Carr. Carr recounted his early encounters with the surrealist master in London and subsequent travels to Cadaqués and Port Lligat, highlighting the era when these locations served as international hubs for artists and creatives.
