Salvador Health Situation Room welcomes US researcher for digital health exchange

On Monday, 27 April, the Sala de Situação em Saúde de Salvador (Salvador Health Situation Room) received Julio César Leal Pereira, a professor at FUST University in the United States. The visit focused on sharing experiences in digital health, epidemiological data analysis, and scientific production, and included a tour of the municipal platform that aggregates data from multiple health information systems to monitor indicators and support evidence‑based decision‑making.

Leal Pereira praised the team’s work and the platform’s role in addressing vulnerable populations. Sala manager Jessidenes Leal said the exchange strengthens international scientific cooperation and opens new opportunities for research applied to public health management. The Sala, inaugurated in 2022, continues to expand partnerships with national and foreign universities and research centers.
