Salvador inaugurates Letieres Leite Show House

The city of Salvador has inaugurated the Casa de Espetáculos Letieres Leite in the Comércio district. This new cultural facility is part of an integrated complex in the historic center that includes the Cidade da Música and the future Letieres Leite School of Music, which is expected to open in the first half of 2027.

The venue features a capacity for approximately 150 people, high-standard immersive sound technology, fiber optic transmission capabilities, and universal accessibility. Mayor Bruno Reis stated that the space is intended to support musical and theatrical performances, as well as local cultural collectives and young talents.

In addition to this opening, the municipal administration announced several upcoming cultural projects to boost tourism and local income. Scheduled inaugurations include the Teatro Vila Velha and Passeio Público on October 25, and the Centro Cultural e de Convenções do Subúrbio on October 2. Other planned projects include the Senzala do Barro Preto, expected by November 20, and the Balbinão multipurpose arena in Boca do Rio, slated for early next year.
