Salvador inaugurates requalified Arena Turunga in Vila Canária

The City of Salvador has officially delivered the requalified Arena Turunga in the Vila Canária neighborhood. The project involved a total investment of R$ 720,200 to implement synthetic grass and various infrastructure improvements.

Upgrades to the facility include drainage, earthmoving, and the recovery and painting of walls, bleachers, handrails, and fence structures. The arena also features a new entrance gate, a protective net, and an upgraded lighting system consisting of 24 LED projectors, which required a separate R$ 120,000 investment in electrical infrastructure.

Mayor Bruno Reis noted that this is the 129th synthetic grass field delivered by the municipal administration. He stated that 33 additional fields are currently under construction, aiming for a total of 162 new arenas across the city to provide residents with free access to adequate sports facilities within their own communities.
