Brasília launches R$36 million bid for new Hospital of Rare Diseases

The Government of the Federal District (GDF) announced the start of a public bidding process to build a Hospital of Rare Diseases within the Hospital de Apoio de Brasília. The project is budgeted at R$36 million. The tender will be published in the official Gazette on the same day, and the winning company must submit architectural and engineering designs within 45 days. Construction is scheduled to begin in January, with a standard 40‑day procurement timeline, and is expected to take about two years. Governor Celina Leão highlighted that the facility will centralize care for patients with rare diseases, improving diagnosis and treatment, while Novacap will manage the bidding process.
