Salvador Municipal Guard officer murdered in Uibaí

Police are investigating the murder of Gustavo Ferreira Rocha, a 43-year-old member of the Salvador Municipal Civil Guard (GCM). His body was discovered in a rural area of Uibaí, located in the northern region of Bahia.

Initial forensic examinations confirmed that Rocha died from gunshot wounds. The Civil Police, specifically the 1st Territorial Precinct of Irecê, are leading the investigation, which includes collecting witness testimonies and analyzing forensic evidence. As of now, authorities have not released any information regarding suspects or a potential motive.

The Salvador Municipal Civil Guard issued an official statement expressing condolences and confirming they are providing support to the victim's family while monitoring the progress of the investigation.
