Salvador Perez Sets Kansas City Royals Home Run Record

Salvador Pérez hit his 318th career home run for the Kansas City Royals, surpassing Hall of Famer George Brett’s franchise total. The solo shot came in the seventh inning of a 3‑2 win over the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park.

A week later Pérez added his 319th homer in a 16‑6 loss to the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. The blast moved him into fourth place among Venezuelan players in MLB history, closing in on the third‑place mark held by Eugenio Suárez.
