Salvador reintroduces bus line connecting Ribeira and Alto do Cabrito

The city of Salvador is reactivating the 1668 bus line, which connects the Ribeira region to Boa Vista do Lobato and Alto do Cabrito. The service, which had been suspended since October 2020, will operate on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Following community requests for better transport options in the Itapagipe Peninsula, the line will provide 11 trips per day on weekends and holidays, with the first departure at 7:00 and the last at 17:00. The route will also benefit passengers in Bonfim, Mares, and Calçada.

Two complementary lines will support the service: 1668-01, providing two trips from Boa Vista do Lobato, and 1668-02, which will offer one trip at 18:00. The return trip to Ribeira will follow an express route without intermediate stops.
