Salvadoran security officials mark 34th anniversary of PNC

Salvadoran security authorities commemorated the 34th anniversary of the National Civil Police (PNC), which was established on August 18, 1992, following the signing of the Peace Accords. The event included a posthumous tribute to fallen officers.

Security Minister Gustavo Villatoro stated that the institution has been essential in recovering security and restoring peace to Salvadoran families. He noted that under the leadership of President Nayib Bukele, the PNC has been strengthened, better equipped, and more prepared to confront crime. The ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials, including Defense Minister René Merino Monroy and Attorney General Rodolfo Delgado Montes.
