Salvini endorses Silvia Sardone for Milan mayoralty

Matteo Salvini, leader of the Lega party, has expressed support for Silvia Sardone as a potential center-right candidate for the mayor of Milan. Speaking at a party event in Brugherio, Salvini praised Sardone’s deep knowledge of the city, stating she knows Milan “house by house, shop by shop, neighborhood by neighborhood.”

Salvini indicated that this suggestion would be presented to coalition allies and noted that the alliance expects to announce a name next week. He emphasized that political discussions should take place within appropriate party venues rather than in the media or public squares.
