Saly Sarr to compete in historic Diamond League final in Brussels

Senegalese triple jumper Saly Sarr is set to compete in the Diamond League final in Brussels on Friday, September 4. At 23 years old, the reigning African champion makes history as the first Senegalese athlete, male or female, to qualify for a Diamond League final.

Sarr’s qualification follows a highly successful season, which included a bronze medal at the World Athletics Indoor Championships and a personal best of 14.86 meters. She also secured her first Diamond League victory in Silesia, Poland, on August 23. Competing in the final represents an opportunity for Sarr to become the first Senegalese athlete to win a Diamond League title in her discipline.
